Hi I'm Yaz - founder of Patten Creative.

Essentially, I help business owners take all the ideas, notes and plans rattling around in their heads and turn them into clear, considered branding and websites.

I've been doing this, in one way or another, for over eight years. It started with a graphic design scholarship and a marketing degree, which eventually led to freelancing while travelling and working with clients from different parts of the world. When I returned to the UK, I took a bit of a detour into teaching, but the creative side of things never really went away. Just over a year ago, I decided to take the leap and return to running my business full-time.

Having a background in marketing, design and teaching means I look at projects a little differently. Of course I care about things looking good, but I also care about them making sense. I like understanding how a business works, what makes it different and how that can be reflected through its branding and website.

The teaching side of my career has also shaped how I work with clients. I know that websites, branding and design can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I aim to make the process as straightforward and jargon-free as possible.

I'm naturally detail-oriented (a polite way of saying I'm a bit of a perfectionist) and I genuinely care about the experience of working together. My goal is always to make the process feel collaborative, enjoyable and easy to navigate from start to finish.

I'm based in Portsmouth, but I work with businesses both locally and internationally. Over the years, I've been lucky enough to work with clients across the UK, Europe and the USA, helping bring their ideas to life through thoughtful branding and website design.
